Debby Leatt
Founder & Managing Director
Our founder Debby has two decades of experience as a chef, completing her culinary studies in South Africa and beginning her career in the UK. She became a Head Chef at age 25, leading diverse teams in hotels and restaurants across the UK. Debby was recruited in 2010 to open a hotel in Kigali & noticed a gap in the catering industry in Rwanda. Food & Stuff started with a small team & has grown exponentially over the past ten years.
Growth Mindset
We are proud of our staff and their growth. Our consistent goal as a company is to prepare all of our employees for industry mobility. Many of our team members have been with the company for over five years and have learned secrets of trade over time. Professional growth for our 40-member team is a core component of our mission. We approach the recruitment and selection of our staff by looking first and foremost for a growth mindset. We then coach our team members as they develop their hard & soft skills and industry expertise, creating a lasting impact on Rwanda's food and hospitality industries.
